The Market Lane

This is possibly one of my favourite spots to eat out in Cork City! They serve great food at reasonable prices.   They do a lunch and dinner menu, and even have some fancy cocktails!

They take good Irish food and always dress it up that bit fancier, for example they take your basic bacon and cabbage and serve it like this: Naturally smoked haddock with bacon and cabbage potato cake, wilted spinach and spiced carrot puree.

The last time I was in the Market lane I got the ravioli, it was delicious, creamy and full of flavour.

My friend got the steak which was equally yummy!

For dessert, they have one of my favourites which I get every time I go! Strawberry glory with crushed meringue and vanilla ice cream, simply delish!!

Prices are reasonable, big tasty portions and the atmosphere is cosy! You should really check them out if you are looking for a nice place to get a dinner and feel full when leaving without spending a fortune.
